The Media Centre is dedicated area for the attending , accredited journalists visiting the Congress, located in Hall 2. It has meeting rooms for press conferences and one-to-one interviews, press-only working area with PCs, plugs for laptops, internet connection, printers and photocopiers. There will also be a large number of HSDPA Mobile Broadband enabled notebooks, within the quiet working area. WiFi access throughout the congress for accredited media is is free of charge, please ask at registration, when you pick up your press pass.

The 3GSM World Congress press team will be managing the Media Centre and will act as a source for journalists on the media activities and the Congress itself. Press Officers for exhibiting companies can access the Media Centre to manage scheduled press conferences and interviews as well as to provide media kits. There is an area for companies to bring their media kits and put up notices on their media activities. Note: There is no charge for exhibitors to leave media kits in the press centre. However, due to space limitations, we would recommend that you supply a maximum of 30-50 kits at any one time, and if necessary top up each morning of the show.

A team from the Official Newswire Service of the Congress, PR Newswire will also be available to help journalists access on-line breaking news, as well as provide a service for exhibitors regarding on-line media kits.

We would ask press officers to kindly respect the quiet working area within the media centre, which is for journalists. A dedicated telephone line to the media centre will be available shortly,
